Inline Powder Sampler

The Inline Powder Sampler is ideal low cost solution for taking samples of powders from a pipe or chute. The powder can be static or moving.

The powder is collected in an open tube which is presented at an angle of approximately 60°. The sample flows down the tube through a ball valve and into the sample collecting bottle.

Pressurised Systems

In order to use the sampler with pressurised systems (pneumatic conveying lines or vacuum transfer lines) two interlocked ball valves will be required.

Automated Samplers

The sampler can be automated by means of an actuator on the ball valve.

Sample Collection

The ball valve finished with a 1" triclover flange. The photograph shows an optional PTFE bottle adapter which has been customsied to suit the thread on the plastic sample collecting bottle.

Installation

1. Cut a 75mm diameter hole in your pipe
2. Weld the boss to the pipe
3. Insert the sampler through the boss and then weld into place
